Upgrading the popular Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6K, while the next-gen G2 is almost identical, a few extra functions have been added to raise the performance even further. For a start, the G2 boasts an improved Super 35mm 4.6K CMOS sensor with a 15-stop dynamic range at ISO 3,200, and can now record in 300fps in Full-HD. Another welcome tweak is the addition of built-in ND filters which can be set via a smooth filter wheel that scrolls through two, four or six stops. This model can now be remotely controlled so you can navigate the menu and adjust settings, all from a distance. Next to all of that, a monochromatic LCD screen on the side provides all of the essential info during the shoot and as well as two CFast 2.0 memory card slots, two SD card slots have been provided, and exclusive to the G2; a USB-C port support direct recording to an external hard drive.
