Characteristics of the SB6X
The SB6X mute is the special Yamaha Pickup Mute that allows little no sound sound to escape from your instrument. Instead, the mute sends the characteristics of your original air flow to the Brass Resonance Modeling system, which is a little black cabinet that generates sound based on the emulation of the flugelhorn. Basically, you're playing a type of synthesizer where your flugelhorn is the controller, though the difference in sound is practically nothing.

The small cabinet that contains the modelling system also contains an AUX input (3.5mm jack) so you can connect an MP3 player; just attach your headphones and you can play along with your favourite music!
