The VR-POH8-SH is a product from German percussion manufacturer Meinl. The unique thing about this hand drum is that it is actually the top of a Meinl djembe, also part of the VivaRhythm series. With an 8-inch diameter, this hand drum is the smallest in a series of 5. Despite its modest diameter, the sound of this drum is quite loud. This is because the sheet is synthetic, giving it a loud sound. This series of hand drums is therefore not called the Boom Sound series for nothing. As mentioned above, this hand drum is actually part of the Meinl VivaRhythm djembe. This is because the djembe consists of 2 separate parts, the sound box and the removable skin: this hand drum. Meinl has 2 different skins for the djembe. If you already have the Soft Sound Djembe Head, this is a nice addition, allowing you to suddenly make 2 different djembe heads.
