The Cameleon Bar 18/4 by Showtec is a powerful armature that can be used indoors as well as outdoors. This unit is designed to light objects without requiring a great deal of space to do so. It is very well suited for lighting walls or trusses, but also fit for spectacular lighting on a catwalk. The Cameleon Bar 18/4 is equipped with 18 RGBW LEDs of 8 watts, so that the lamp can produce nearly any colour and thanks to the design of these LEDs, optimal colour mixing is ensured. You can also use the Cameleon Bar 18/4 as a sunstrip.

The IP65 classification is an indication that the Cameleon Bar 18/4 is resistant against moisture and dust, making this armature most-weather proof! Thanks to the compact housing of the Cameleon Bar, it can effortlessly be used on stages and catwalks without standing out. The light yield on this armature is exceptional! 18 LEDs get together to produce a light yield of no less than 3,200 lux at 2 metres, with a total power consumption of only 125 watts! The effect of this armature is even more powerful if you use multiple units simultaneously. Thanks to the use of LED lamps, you can simulate a stroboscope effect.

Controlling the 18/4

As befits an armature of this calibre, the Chameleon Bar 18/4 can be used in various modes. One of these is the static mode, in which the armature produces a single colour. This colour can be adjusted at the back via a display and the accompanying control buttons. You can also use a number of pre-programmed chases in a master/slave configuration or control the whole setup via DMX. The addressing can also be controlled via the LCD display.
