La Guild DS-240 Memoir es una excelente elección cuando buscas una guitarra de calidad con un toque nostálgico que no te suponga una cantidad de dinero desorbitada. Este modelo dreadnought de hombro inclinado viene vestido con colores tradicionales y luce una roseta de estilo vintage y el logotipo Guild Script en el clavijero para rendir homenaje a los instrumentos utilizados en la década de 1920. En cuanto al sonido, la DS-240 Memoir se ajusta a la imagen y suena cálida y transparente como si se hubiera tocado durante años.
Una guitarra acústica con historia
Esta contundente guitarra con tapa de abeto macizo de resonancia fuerte y clara forma parte de la Colección Westerly de Guild: una serie de guitarras construidas con un pedazo especial de la historia de Guild en el fondo de la mente de cada artesano durante el proceso. En 1967, Guild trasladó su producción a Westerly, Rhode Island, con el consiguiente aumento de la calidad de sus guitarras. Gracias en parte a los empleados altamente cualificados, la fábrica no tardó en ser reconocida por sus guitarras acústicas bien diseñadas y sólidamente construidas y hoy, esta DS-240 demuestra fielmente que no ha cambiado mucho desde entonces.

Mooie gitaar met verrassend goede J45 sound. De afstelling fabriek af was wel erg slecht. Ik moest halskromming sterk bijstellen en een nieuw brugzadel erin zetten, omdat dat in mijn gitaar zeker 4mm te hoog was. Maar nu een toffe gitaar.

Ik ben heel tevreden met deze ( short scale) gitaar. Afstelling en bespeelbaarheid zijn meer dan goed. Klank is warm met duidelijk klinkende akkoorden en tonen. Stemknoppen zijn prima en de kleur is mooier dan op de foto. Een aanrader voor beginner tot gevorderde !

Je joue depuis près de 30 ans et j'ai eu beaucoup de guitares, certaines très onéreuses.
Cette Guild memoir est devenue ma principale acoustique.
Cette slope shoulder vaut vraiment son prix que ce soit au niveau du look ou du son.
Le son est très authentique et très cohérent.
La guitare donne une sensation de solidité, c'est loin d'être un jouet.
Je rédige cet avis seulement maintenant mais je joue cette Guild depuis trois ans.
J'ai légèrement resserré le truss rod et poncer le sillet de chevalet, ça a suffit pour m'offrir un réglage très correcte.
Une très belle option pour celui qui rêve d'une Gibson 45 à moindre prix.
Je recommande vivement cette guitare.

I got this guitar as a gift, and not disappointed. The guitar is easy to play, and has a great sound coming from it. I have several other guitars at twice the price, and I feel this one has a much nicer tone.
The shape is really nice too, sits nicely on my knee, and it also sits well when played standing up with a strap.
The action can be adjusted to get that perfect feel. It took me all of 10 mins to get the set-up just right for me, and I have loved playing it every day since i got it. I love the sound when Finger picking and it's now my go to guitar for this style.
Love it and it's a nice addition to my array of guitars. For a beginner to Intermediate right through to the seasoned pro, i would recommend this guitar. You only have to look at the pro musicians who use a Guild to know they are top quality.

Dit is echt een geweldige gitaar! Afgezien dat hij er geweldig uitziet, is het geluid ook mooi warm. Echt een aanrader en zeker voor dit geld ga je niet een beter klinkende gitaar vinden.
