La Guild D-240E FM es una guitarra electroacústica dreadnought de la colección Westerly. El fondo y los aros del cuerpo son de caoba flameada y están rematados con abeto Sitka macizo para un sonido rico y una excelente respuesta dinámica que, gracias al preamplificador Guild AP-1 Active Piezo se amplifica al máximo en cuanto la guitarra se enchufa a un amplificador acústico.

The quality is very good for the price point. The sound projection is good with the arched back. The factory setup is excellent. I took a few measurments and found everything spot on. I will be rounding off the fret ends. They are not bad, but a bit rough for me. The beautiful flamed mahogany back and sides, is well worth the moderate extra cost.
Until these new strings settle,the sound is a bit tinny. The 12/53 strings fitted are ideal for this guitar. I would not recommend fitting anything lighter. I will fit a bit later some D'Addario XT Coated 80/20 Bronze strings which I prefer to the Phospher Bronze EXP16 fitted. Bronze strings,in my opinion,have the best tone. The Fishman Sonitone is great, but an added tuner facility would have been even better. Overall an excellent Guild acoustic.
