Designed in close collaboration with Nick Johnston, this Schecter Traditional Signature guitar is built in this original Custom Shop's Indonesian workshop, which means you're getting a lot of guitar for your money. While the core of this solid-body is largely based on classics, YouTube sensation Johnston has carefully tweaked this electric guitar to meet his specific needs. The look and sound are definitively vintage but it's the playing comfort of this ST that has received a quite a couple of upgrades to land it firmly in this day and age. Also, if you find two tone pots on this type of a guitar a little tricky, you'll be happy to learn Schecter have kept things simple by blessing it with a single volume and tone control and a 5-way pickup switch.
Nick Johnston TRAD: Thin C Neck, Extra Jumbo Frets and a 14" Fretboard
The neck of this Traditional model sports a thin C profile for optimum comfort in the hands of most guitarists. Moreover and on the flipside, the flat 14" fretboard has been fitted with extra jumbo frets for enhanced grip on the strings and an almost light scalloped-liked feel so you won't have to press down on the strings as hard. Fast and smooth playing is certainly possible and can be effortlessly complemented with a little string bending. Mounted with three medium output Diamond Nick Johnston single-coils, this signature guitar can deliver both truly pure cleans and a tight, schredding sound. Schecter's own locking tuners, a Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL string nut and a vintage-style 2-point tremolo further ensure more than solid tuning stability.
