Hand-crafted in Spain, the Ortega RCE180G Traditional Series electro-acoustic classical guitar has been furnished with a solid cedar soundboard while the body has been built from African bubinga - a tonewood known for its rosewood-like richness, warm basses and strong resonance. Bubinga also has a naturally dark colour and complex grain, lending this model a subtly luxurious finish. The mahogany neck has been topped with a rosewood fretboard and bound to the body using the traditional Spanish heel technique, where the body is actually built around the neck to guarantee maximum stability.

Modern & Traditional Playability

A unique twist on tradition, the Ortega RCE180G has been given a Slim Neck, which features a narrower-than-normal 48mm-wide nut, and therefore a narrower feel in the fret-hand, supporting fast and smooth playability. While the acoustic sound packs plenty of projection, a MagusPRO preamp has been built in so that, when plugged into an acoustic amplifier or PA system, you're assured of accurate live sound that can be adjusted with ease via the side-mounted volume and tone pots. The control panel also supplies a built-in tuner and a phase pot for reining in the frequencies that might cause unwelcome feedback and, so you can get it to the venue in one piece, Ortega has also thrown in a deluxe gig bag.
