General
The Sunray goes by a cool new name: Spherion. In fact, it's not just its name that changed. The Spherion has said goodbye to the Sunray's halogen light source, as it is equipped with a powerful LED module. The light of this device comes from inside and is flung outward through 118 lenses that create an effect that's comparable to that of a mirror ball.
There were two major disadvantages to the classic mirror balls that once adorned many dance floors: a hall-filling effect required a massive mirror ball and you still need one, or more, separate pin spot(s). All that can be left behind thanks to modern-day LED technology!
Power and colour of the light effect
The light output of the Spherion comes from five white 3W LED modules. That's a total of 15 watts of LED power to create a veritable flood of light. The bright white rays have a colour temperature of about 6000K, ensuring a bright white light without a yellowish or bluish hue. The neat optics ensure a high light output and sharp beams. Especially with a bit of fog, this device creates a very spacious effect with a flood of white rays.
Using the Spherion
Whether you want to use the Spherion standing up or hanging down, its rubber feet set it down firmly and it is easy to attach a G hook or half coupler to the bracket on the bottom for flying it from a truss.
There's not a nook or cranny that darkness can hide in when the Spherion springs to action. It has a beam angle of 360 degrees horizontally and 270 degrees vertically. A huge surface is effortlessly supplied with light.
