General
The main components of this DJ set are the Pioneer DJM-850-W mixer and the RMX-500 Remix Station. A T-U101 X-stand has been added in order to place your RMX-500 at the right working height. The DJM 850 mixer is based on the DJM 900, but has a simpler design to keep it more affordable. This certainly does not mean that it lacks in features, however. With the included Procab cabling you can set up a high-quality connection between the effect send and return and the RMX 500. Let the remixing begin!
Pioneer DJM-850-W
This white edition of the DJM 850 is a mixer with four channels. Each channel is fitted with its own fader, each of which features an adjustable curve, as does the central crossfader. This allows you to adapt the mixer to your personal preferences and to your own work flow. The DJM-850-W is equipped with Color FX that can be set per channel by means of the Color knob. The mixer also features Beat effects, which are synchronised with the BPM rate that has been either automatically set or entered by means of the tap button. As such, your tracks and effects blend beautifully, which allows for clean mixing.
Pioneer RMX-500
The Pioneer RMX-500 is the smaller counterpart of the RMX-1000. The RMX-500 is equipped with the best features of the RMX-1000, but is easier to use. Its layout is divided into two sections: the Rhythm FX and the Scene FX. The effects unit allows you to make on-the-fly remixes by applying various types of loops, slices and samples. The cleverly designed effects also enable you to adjust the energy level of your mix. If you have lost track of all the effects you have added while you were mixing, you can always fall back on the Release effects. These ensure that you can discretely return to the original track, without losing face or interrupting the track.
Pioneer T-U101 X-stand and cables
The platform of this metal stand can be set to three different positions. This enables you to place the RMX-500 or your laptop at the exact right angle for a comfortable working position. After use, the X-stand can be folded into a compact size, so it easily fits into your bag. The Procab cables that are supplied with this set are of a high quality and ensure a high-grade, interference-proof audio quality

Volledige effectenrange voor de dj's van mellow dub reggae tot en met Skrillex.
De effecten van de RMX-500 klinken veel moderner dan zijn grotere broer de RMX-1000.
Wat een feest om met die twee te werken....
Een klein nadeel toch nog gevonden:
Bij het gebruik van de bijgeleverde vst-plugin voor ableton live etc. via de usb aansluiting wordt de visuele feedback alleen kort op de unit zelf gegeven. Je ziet dus allen op de nogal kleine plugin op het scherm welk effect er blijvend actief is.

Veel voordelen, weinig nadelen behalve de prijs. Realistisch gezien schat ik dit ding op 200 euro.

Pluspunten:
- enorm veel effecten
- prachtig apparaat
- stevig gebouwd
- je raakt nooit uitgeleerd met dit apparaat. Je blijft nieuwe dingen ontdekken
- Goedkope manier om je DJ mixen naar het volgende level te tillen (goedkoper dan een dure mixer).
Minpunten:
- Ik vind m na de prijsverhoging wat aan de dure kant geworden. Dit apparaat kostte een tijdje terug nog 350 euro
- Poorten aan de zijkant is minder mooi dan aan de achterkant, zoals bij de RMX-1000
