The Irish folk-punk band Flogging Molly follows the tradition of The Pogues with a catching, energetic mix of punk and traditional Irish music as their trademark. Flogging Molly use several types of folk instruments, including the banjo. This Fender Robert Schmidt banjo is a part of the Artist series and was modelled after the tenor banjo of Flogging Molly’s Robert Schmidt. A sparkling, 4-string banjo.

Robert Schmidt banjo: indestructible quality

Robert Schmidt's collaboration in the development of this instrument ensures its road-proof quality. Intense banjo playing is no problem at all for this Fender, as it is made of excellent materials. The resonator is of 10-layer laminated maple. Its tone ring is made of chrome-plated brass and its rosewood fretboard has 22 frets. The Fishman Rare Earth banjo pickup offers a euphonious amplified sound. Naturally, the headstock sports Schmidt's signature.

fijne banjo, mooi afgewerkt. Akoestisch klinkt hij ontzettend goed en hard. Het pickup klinkt ook geweldig. Fishman is altijd goed. Plug and play! De batterij gaat belachelijk lang mee. De lange hals was even wennen voor mij omdat ik voorheen een 17 fret tenor banjo had en Deze 22 frets heeft. Halslengte is te vergelijken met een 5 string banjo. Dus kun je er wel een stuk makkelijker akkoorden op pakken. Een minpuntje, hij is erg zwaar. Een les Paul is er niks bij
