With the EDB-3/4RDL BK, you can enjoy sound and playability that's extremely similar to that of a traditional double bass, without having to store or transport an instrument quite so large. A built-in pickup forms the sound, so that the instrument doesn't need a body. Stagg EDB-3/4RDL BK: compact body, big sound
Despite its compact size, the Stagg EDB-3/4RDL BK feels incredibly natural to play. The body features a maple neck, which gives the bass an earthy sound. On the headstock, you'll find Precision Bass machine heads that offer much more stable tuning than standard double bass tuners. The pickup is powered by a 9V battery, and the bass control on the side of the body allows you to adjust the depth of the bass. All of this combined means that you can play most styles, from jazz to rockabilly.
Realistic feel
The height of the bass is easy to adjust via the endpin on the bottom. It's easy to transport too, thanks to the included gig bag. This instrument is a great way to get to know the double bass, and the fact that it's electric means that you can also experiment with effect pedals. This particular model features a black finish.
