With the Squier Classic Vibe series you get a lot for your money. These widely-acclaimed guitars and basses combine a vintage sound and look that can compete with some professional models. This Classic Vibe 60s Jazz Bass sounds and looks like a model straight out of the '60s. That's down to its two single-coil pickups, its tortoiseshell pickguard, vintage-tinted neck and the lovely high gloss finish on its body.

Squier’s parent company, Fender, designed the pickups that are mounted on the lightweight, poplar body of this Classic Vibe 60s Jazz Bass. They're Alnico single-coils that deliver the unmistakable J bass sound with prominent mids to your amplifier. That makes this instrument suitable for simple bass lines as well as more melodic work. The two volume controls let you find the perfect balance that can then be tweaked to perfection using the tone control.

Deze basgitaar heeft het vermogen te grommen als het moet. Tegelijkertijd kan deze basgitaar uiteraard ook in een jazz-setting gebruikt worden.
Een echte alleskunner dus. Absoluut een aanrader!

Zo ook deze. Voor die 369 euro krijg je héél erg veel basgitaar!
Een prachtige bass, netjes afgewerkt en na het afstellen van de action (wat natuurlijk persoonlijk is) heb je een vet instrument in je handen. Door het het CITES gebeuren is de toets van deze bass gemaakt van laurier en moest ik wel even wennen aan de geur...
Uiteraard bestaan er betere houtsoorten en elementen en bruggen en stemmechanieken en en en , maar kom op zeg, voor dit bedrag:
Gewoon ZES sterren!
Er staan wel wat foutjes in de omschrijving:
- de bass wordt gemaakt in Indonesië en niet in China.
- de hardware is verchroomd en niet van nikkel
- de topkam is van kunststof en niet van been natuurlijk
