General
The RSP-12 is a relatively compact passive speaker. Thanks to its 12-inch woofer, it can be used as a satellite speaker in combination with a subwoofer, but the RSP-12 can also serve as a full-range speaker. The hard-suspension, 12-inch woofer can move very fast and reproduces even the deeper bass tones without any effort. Thanks to its rugged construction, the speaker is suited for mobile applications, but it can also be used in a fixed installation.
Components of the RSP-12 speaker
The RSP-12 is equipped with a powerful hard-suspension, 12-inch woofer, which features a Kapton voice coil for an optimal performance. The high-range tones are reproduced by a 1-inch compression driver with a directional horn. The tweeter is equipped with thermal protection, which means it is less prone to damage due to prolonged overload. A built-in crossover efficiently separates the incoming signal, directing the high and mid-high frequencies to the tweeter and the mid-low and low frequencies to the woofer. An optimal performance is guaranteed!
Construction and finish
One of the great assets of the RSP-12 is its rugged housing. The speaker has a road-proof, wooden construction and is finished with black, damping felt, that protects it from scratches. A metal grille keeps the components of the speaker safe from harm during transport. The protective metal corners protect the somewhat vulnerable corners of the RSP-12. Practical additions are the handles at the sides and the 35mm stand adapter that is built into the bottom.
