PSR-EW400 features

The PSR-EW400 shares a lot of the same characteristics with its counterpart the PSR-E453, but in many respects is considered a step up. For starters, it has 76 keys, which means an extra octave. That makes this keyboard a good choice if you're used to playing the full-sized keyboard on an acoustic piano. Yamaha accommodates their users in more ways the one, like with an extra powerful sound (2x 12 watts instead of 2x 6 watts) and a spacious, convincingly real Live! Grand Piano sound.

Built-in audio interface

The PSR-EW400 and the PSR-E453 are both equipped with a USB port. This may sound like nothing new, but most keyboards on the market today can only process note data to and from a computer. Users want to be able to transfer the audio they hear coming directly from their fingertips, and that's just what these keyboards are capable of. The opposite is also possible - you can transfer audio from your computer to the keyboard and listen to it via the keyboard's speakers while you play along. Finally, iOS users will he happy to hear that they can also connect their iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone as well.

Ik heb dit apparaat thuis uitgeprobeerd maar heb toch voor een ander keyboard gekozen. Zeer mooie klanken, zeer veel mogelijkheden voor een amateur (wat ik ben) maar ik vond de bediening te tijdroven en te weinig mogelijkheden om begeleiding te variëren en om instellingen op te slaan. Ik besteedde meer tijd aan instellingen dan aan spelen. Ik raad je aan zeker ook de PSR-S670 uit te proberen en te vergelijken. Een gigantische stap vooruit op deze gebieden. Zie mijn beoordeling bij de PSR-S775 die ik uiteindelijk gekocht heb.

Klinkt goed het keyboard voor de prijs.
het blijft digitaal maar dat kan niet andersvoor deze prijsklasse.

Veel mogelijkheden , grote leercurve de komende tijd.
Handleiding had wat mij betreft gedetaileerder uitgewerkt mogen worden.
Online wel het een en ander kunnen vinden, maar het is wel zoeken.

Hij wordt gebruikt als oefeninstrument voor een startend muzikant, basis ritmes voor opname in een DAW, ondekkingsreis en ter inspiratie, etc.

Veel songs en ritmes, : van alle genres ( klassiek, rock , jazz, wereld, folklore ) wel wat

Behoorlijk formaat en neemt zodoende aardig wat ruimte in

Ik ben er tevreden mee en het heeft aan mijn verwachtingen voldaan.

Onlangs voor mijn kleindochter een E453 gekocht en toen ging het bij mij ook weer kriebelen. Voorheen op de Psr 6300 en de HS8 gespeeld ruim 12 jaar geleden. Was toch wel verwend met die HS8 wat betreft de geluiden en ritmes. Bij Bax music door de verkoper goed geïnformeerd en de EW400 gekocht en wat een keyboard is dat , alle geluiden en stijlen aanwezig super keyboard.

Ik kan heel kort over dit keyboard zijn: FANTASTISCH!

Heb de laatste 30 jaar heel wat keyboards versleten, maar niet één kwam in de buurt van de Yamaha PSR-EW400.

De aanslaggevoeligheid is fantastisch en makkelijk aan te passen.

De samples klinken hemels.

De bediening is een eitje.

Voor dit geld een absolute aanrader!

Helaas viel de leveringstijd nogal tegen. Ben reeds jaren Bax Music klant en normaal gesproken werden de aankopen binnen 24 uur geleverd. Deze keer heb ik vijf dagen moeten wachten.

Het probleem ligt niet bij Bax Music maar bij UPC.

Heb onlangs dit keyboard aangeschaft en ben er in de wolken mee ! Zou het iedereen aanraden !

Heeft een aangename aanslaggevoeligheid die dichter aanleunt tegen het pianogevoel en erg mooie live piano klank. Er zijn coole special effecten en ook voices waarmee je een song kan voorzien van een echte dance-groove.

Ik zou er zoveel over kunnen zeggen, maar dan zou het te lang worden. Daarom voeg ik er enkel nog aan toe: twijfel niet om dit prachtige instrument aan te schaffen, voor die prijs hoef je het echt niet te laten !

le + très belle sonorité de piano a cette gamme de prix les sorties L / R sont un plus pour la scène,un rendu dans l'ensemble agréable dans les notes aigus (en live piano) c'est bluffant de réalisme imbattable dans cette gamme,les autres sonorité en "live" "sweet" et en "cool" sont réaliste,enceinte très puissante le top pour l'extérieur,on peu l'alimenter avec des piles lr20 (grosses piles)!!!les options sont très pratique effets DSP les potentiomètres de contrôle les enregistrements de style ect... yamaha a très bien bossé dans ce modèle qui est d'une polyvalence certaine

le - dans la sonorité (live piano) les basses manque un peu de punch et de profondeur c'est dommage et une fois branché dans un système audio il offre un rendu plaisant dans l’ensemble,il y a des sonorité décevante comme pour la guitare (son trop synthétique) ,mais bon dans ces prix la on ne peu pas demander la lune,déjà il y a de quoi vous épanouir musicalement pour les débutants et novices

Au finale je vous le recommande dans cette gamme de prix car il marque une différence nette de qualité avec les toutes marques concurrente!!

Toen ik mijn zinnen op dit keyboard had gezet was het nog niet leverbaar in Nederland. Na wat mailcontact met de Bax-shop helpdesk heb ik hem besteld en kreeg ik op 23 juni (waarschijnlijk) één van de eerste exemplaren geleverd. Tot zover alweer een top service van Bax!

Dan het instrument:
De constructie en afwerking zijn mooi en degelijk. De 76 toetsen ogen in eerste instantie een beetje 'plastic', maar spelen prettig. Ook de bediening van de knoppen voelt goed.

Na het aanzetten valt meteen het mooie heldere pianogeluid op. De EW400 heeft een andere GrandPiano sample dan zijn kleine broertje, de PSR-E453, en klinkt echt heel mooi.
De hoeveelheid voice en styles is echt enorm, na een week ben ik ze nog steeds aan het uitproberen. Er zit echt veel moois tussen en de luidsprekers geven dit ook mooi weer.

De DSP controllers zijn leuk, maar als je zoals ik geen DJ ambities hebt zul je er niet heel veel mee doen.

De aansluitingen zijn prima, en voor de USB-out vind ik erg fijn: rechtstreeks opnemen in mijn DAW software.

Conclusie (na een week waarin ik nog lang niet alles heb uitgeprobeerd): Héél veel keyboard voor een hele mooie prijs. De mogelijkheden en klanken van dit keyboard vind je normaal gesproken alleen in veel duurdere exemplaren.
