With the B2, Korg is aiming at piano players looking for an attractively-priced digital piano without too much hoo-ha. As a piano player, you're mainly looking for a realistic piano sounds, possibly not so much for vibraphone, marimba, brass or percussion sounds. Fortunately, you're all set with the Korg B2 when it comes to piano sounds. It features a number of acoustic and electric pianos, a harpsichord and two different organs. To customise your sound to your own taste, this digital piano is fitted with various effect, including reverb and chorus.

Next to the sounds, the feel of play is of similar importance. This is where Korg hits a home-run. The Natural Weighted Hammer Action keyboard delivers a true, realistic playing experience. Just like on an acoustic piano, the action of the B2's lower keys is a little heavier. Should you want, you can even fully customise the keyboard response! The Korg B2 is outfitted with two clear-sounding 15W speakers - definitely an upgrade over the 9W speakers on the B1 - and can be optionally expanded with a separately available stand.

Na eindeloos reviews te hebben gecheckt op youtube, kwam de Korg B2 toch steeds vaker uit de bus als beste keuze vs de bekende digitale pianomerken (Yamaha, Casio etc). Gezien het prijspunt waren een paar elementen belangrijk voor mij, het geluid, de metronoom en het design. De Korg B2 tikt al deze vakjes aan maar er is nog een bonus spec die het voor mij erg aantrekkelijk heeft gemaakt om dit product te kopen.
Bij de Korg B2 wordt ook een gratis proef periode van 3 maanden voor hun eigen lesmodule aangeboden. Naast mijn pianolessen die soms erg saai kunnen zijn is dit een erg fijne manier van oefenen en ik zie ook echt vooruitgang sinds ik beide volg. Voor elke beginnende pianist is dit echt een aanrader.

- Het geluid (je kan uren lang pingelen zonder verveeld te raken over de prachtige klanken).
- De lesmodule.
- Prijs / kwaliteit verhouding.

- Het instellen van de metronoom op een ander ritme is best tricky.
- De hoofdtelefoonaansluiting. Deze zit achter de lessenaar, zorg dus dat je een wat langere aux kabel aanschaft om je lesboek of nootblad niet om te stoten tijdens het spelen.
- Je blijft er urenlang achter zitten, dus je partner kan nog weleens chagerijnig worden.

Strak design met lekker weinig knopjes.
Zijn er dan geen nadelen? 2 kleintjes.
- Hoofdtelefoonaansluiting zit in het midden aan de achterkant. Als je de lessenaar gebruikt is deze lastig te bereiken. Zou fijn zijn als deze links of rechts zou zitten.
- Hij heeft geen display voor de instrumentkeuze. Nu zijn het er niet zoveel (8 geloof ik) maar als je snel op het knopje drukt kan je zo voorbij jouw favoriet schieten. Niet super belangrijk, maar een klein display met of een nummer of de naam van het instrument zou geinig zijn.
