Are you a singer who regularly performs with a small combo consisting of just a guitar, a piano and yourself? Would you rather bring your own mixer than being dependent on a venue's gear? In that case, the Yamaha EMX2 powered mixer is an excellent choice. It's easy to use, easy to transport, and doesn't require much more than a set of passive speakers, a few cables and, optionally, one or more microphones. The EMX2 features ten channels (four mono, three that can be used for both stereo and mono), making it ideal for smaller venues and parties.

EMX2: suitable for any setting

The EMX2 is a versatile powered mixer that, thanks to its modest size and low weight (only 4 kg), can easily be transported. A single-knob master EQ allows you to set the perfect tone for any performance. Turn it counter-clockwise for speech (presentations, for instance), and clockwise for vocals, acoustic instruments and music combos. Turned all the way up, you even get a nice bass boost, which is great for DJs.

Additional features

Yamaha wouldn't be Yamaha if they hadn't thrown in a few clever extra features. The first two channels of the EMX2, for instance, offer phantom power, making them suitable for condenser microphones and DIs. Channels 7/8 and 9/10 can accommodate devices with RCA connectors and aux cables respectively, and a feedback suppressor does away with annoying feedback. Furthermore, speaker impedance is adjustable from four or eight ohms, and there's a choice of four different reverb types - hall, plate, room and echo - which can be controlled using an FC5 foot switch (sold separately).

Ja ik had zelf de Yamaha stagepas 600i.
Die is na vele jaren trouwe dienst kaduuk gegaan.
Ik heb bij bax na best wel een paar dingen retour gestuurd omdat ik B-stock kreeg ipv nieuw.
Een Yamaha emx2 gekocht .
Eigenlijk de zelfde mixer /versterker als de stage pas.
Kreeg hem helemaal in fabrieksverpakking.
Heb hem getest en ben weer helemaal happy de peppy.
Kijk bax zo kan het ook dan heb ik geen klagen en jullie een goed review.

Ik gebruik Amplitube van IK Multimedia en ik heb verschillende zelfbouw fullrange speakers (opgebouwd uit Sica coaxiale drivers) en was nog op zoek naar een compacte mixer/versterker. Het fijne van de Yamaha is, dat er een 3-bands EQ op zit. Voldoende aansluitingen om een kleine setup te kunnen maken. Zelfs een monitor-uit met een onafhankelijke output regeling. Een ingebouwde reverb. De ventilator is hoorbaar, althans bij thuis gebruik hoor je hem. Maar in een live situatie zal deze flink overstemt worden want dit apparaatje kan knallen. In combinatie met hoge rendement speakers (97 db - 99 db) kan de Yamaha EMX2 een flinke geluidsdruk leveren. Ik heb mijn exemplaar uit de B-stock gekocht, met volledige garantie, doos en handleiding. Alleen de spanningskabel miste maar die had ik nog enkele liggen. Het apparaat ziet er gaaf en onbeschadigd uit. Dat scheelde weer even € 78,00 t.o.v. normale prijs. Het geluid is goed, alle EQ en overall EQ staan vlak. Dus dat wil toch wel iets zeggen over geluidsweergave, uiteraard moeten de aangesloten speakers dan ook wel van een zekere kwaliteit zijn. Het apparaat weegt weinig en is op een microfoonstandaard te monteren.

Bax levering: snel en correct als altijd. De EMX2: met de monitoraansluiting kan ik een extra geluidsbron aansluiten, zodat ik (onafhankelijk van de zaalboxen) de podiumboxen kan bedienen. Geweldig.
