The Yamaha RS20MM Vintage Sunburst was developed in close collaboration with Matteo Mancuso, a guitarist who has relied on the Revstar as the foundation of his tone for years. This signature model brings the character of his personal instrument to a wider audience, featuring a stylish flamed maple top in a Vintage Sunburst finish and gold hardware. Subtle touches, such as his signature on the truss rod cover and his logo inlay at the twelfth fret, pay homage to the musician behind the model. The result is a guitar that truly aligns with Mancuso's approach to the instrument in both look and feel.
Resonance and playing comfort
Beneath the stunning finish lies Yamaha's chambered body construction, engineered using their proprietary Acoustic Design process. This structure contributes to an open, resonant tone while keeping the weight comfortably manageable. The 3-piece mahogany neck is reinforced with carbon rods for enhanced stability, making it ideal for the demands of stage and studio use. Together, these features deliver a balanced feel and an immediate response, ensuring every nuance of your playing comes through with clarity.
Versatile tonal possibilities
For its sound, Yamaha equipped the RS20MM with a set of DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary humbuckers. These pickups deliver a clear, dynamic response with superb detail and sustain. Thanks to the 5-way selector switch and the passive Focus Switch, the guitar offers a wide spectrum of tonal options, ranging from sparkling cleans to punchier, fuller sounds. Locking tuners ensure reliable tuning stability, while the included deluxe gig bag keeps your guitar safe on the way to rehearsals, gigs, and recording sessions.
