The Modern Player series offers affordable, genuine Fenders to beginners with a smaller budget. The Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe is made in China under Fender's strict supervision. The result is an electric guitar with the right looks and, of course, amazing sound and playability you can expect from a high-quality Fender instrument. It is available in two colours: Transparent Black and this 3-colour Sunburst version.

Characteristics of the Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe

This guitar is a mix of several classic Fender Tele models. It features the partially hollow body with f-style sound hole of a 1969 Telecaster Thinline but made of mahogany, for an extra full and warm sound. Its pickguard and electronics are largely based on the 1972 Telecaster Deluxe, so it features a volume and tone control per pickup as well as a 3-position pickup switch on the top. The pickup configuration, however, consists of two P-90's, for a fat and raw single-coil sound. Ideal for blues and rock (among others).
