Famous manufacturer Meinl has released another batch of excellent cowbells. The STB45H is a 4.5" cowbell with a high pitch, made of a special steel alloy. It has a relatively narrow opening and features a sleek hand-brushed steel finish. Thanks to that finish, the cowbell retains its bright, cutting character, as well as part of its sustain, but the overall effect is toned down just a little bit. As such, this instrument doesn't offer loud ringing overtones, but rather a modest sustain. Finally, thanks to the attached eyelet, the bell is easy to attach to any standard 3/8" rod.
