The new-and-improved 5-piece Stage Custom Birch shell set in Pure White by Yamaha features all kinds of new technology for serious beginners and advanced players alike. It's equipped with a number of modern enhancements including rounded bearing edges for more contact with the drum head for an even bigger sound. The mounting system for the lugs also ensures better resonance.
Fusion configuration
Yamaha's all-round 6-ply birch shell set is available in more configurations as well as this fusion set. It consists of a 20-inch bass drum, a 14-inch floor tom, a 10 and a 12-inch tom and a 14 x 5.5-inch snare drum.

They have given the Stage Custom Birch shell set series various upgrades starting with a rubber coating on the bass drum's wooden hoop. This creates a truly unique sound, offers protection, and it prevents unwanted vibrations from disturbing the overall sound. Setting up the kit is easy and fast and the bass drum feet offer extra stability as well. There are ten tension rods on the snare for extra tuning stability and optimal stick control. The toms have 1.5mm triple-flanged hoops for a bright, open sound.
