General
In the DU-200T tenor ukulele, Diamond Head offer a deluxe entry-level model for the more serious uke player. The soundboard, sides, back, and neck have all been made from mahogany and combine with a rosewood fretboard to complete a dark yet warm look and a resonant, full sound. The larger tenor-sized body has an extended note range and increased volume, making it the perfect gigging instrument - especially since it comes complete with a gig bag.
Diamond Head
More than a hundred years ago, the little stringed instrument that is the cavaquinho found its way to Hawaii by hitching a ride with Portuguese immigrants. The story goes that three settled Portuguese wood-workers started to develop their very own variation of the traditional instrument which grew up to become the number one folk instrument in the whole of Hawaii. In tribute to the rich history of the ukulele, Diamond Head took its name from the iconic dormant volcano in Honolulu, Hawaii and have since produced ukuleles in all shapes, sizes and colours while always following the guidelines of building traditions. As such, every instrument embodies the feel and sound of a genuine Hawaiian ukulele.
