General
The Korg Pa4X 76 is a gorgeous machine, but - like most arranger workstations in the same price range - it's not equipped with built-in speakers. Workstations like these are luxury products, after all, and people who work with them often have their own superior external speaker system. Nevertheless, if you're looking for an all-in-one solution, Korg has the answer. Their PaAS is a semi-integrated speaker system that can be connected to the Pa4X. Get them together now, with the Korg Pa4X 76 Pack PaAS arranger workstation!
Characteristics of the Korg Pa4X
The Pa4X is a great piece of technology, and familiarising yourself with all of its comprehensive features will take you quite some time. Its rich and dynamic sound palette is much more diverse than that of previous models. Once you've worked your way through the arranger's many built-in sounds and styles, 400 MB of sample RAM allows you to import your own sounds too. Thanks to a collaboration with TC-Helicon and Waves, the Pa4X offers fantastic effects for your vocals and for mastering purposes.
The PaAS
The Korg PaAS is a three-way amplification system with matching speakers. Two tweeters, two mid-frequency drivers and a subwoofer - driven by a 2x 20W plus 1x 40W amplifier module - reproduce the sounds you create with your Pa4X workstation. Two times 20 Watts power the tweeters and the 80mm mid-frequency drivers of the PaAS system, while 40 Watts of power are used to drive the 130mm subwoofer with its dual voice coil. As such, you're able to create quite a racket with a cabinet that requires hardly any space at all.
