Novation aprovechó el lanzamiento de la serie Launchkey MK3 como una buena excusa para añadir un modelo de 37 notas a la gama, llenando así el vacío existente entre las versiones de 25 y 49 notas. Teniendo en cuenta las exigencias de los productores de directo, tener más opciones nunca es una mala idea. En comparación con la serie anterior, los nuevos Launchkeys están equipados con mejores teclas, una pantalla clara y una salida DIN-MIDI en la parte trasera, mientras que la funcionalidad se ha ampliado con un arpegiador, tres modos de acordes y un modo de escala. Este último le ayuda convenientemente a evitar tocar cualquier nota de la escala equivocada.
Novation LaunchKey 37 MK3: Amplio paquete de software
El Launchkey 37 cuenta con dieciséis pads que, lo has adivinado, se pueden utilizar en combinación con Ableton Live. De hecho, la integración profunda en este popular DAW es para lo que se ha diseñado este teclado y, como tal, incluye una copia de Ableton Live Lite. Para dar cuerpo a tus pistas, Novation incluye Spitfire Audio Expressive Strings, cuatro teclados virtuales de XLN Audio, tres brillantes sintetizadores de AAS y un montón de efectos, incluida una reverberación. Aunque seguro que todo esto le mantendrá ocupado durante un rato, puede buscar en Internet para descargar más sonidos frescos para disparar con el Launchkey 37 MK3.

De pads zijn een nippie minder dan mn launchpad pro mk3 maar niet zoveel dat ik ze niet zou gebruiken.
Ik gebruik hem met ableton en met het script van drivenbymoss voor Bitwig.
En wat ziet dat ding er cool uit!!!!!

De toetsen zijn voor het spelen erg fijn en de response is goed. De arpeggiator voelt stevig en aan en is qua controle erg fijn.
De pads zijn enorm functioneel. Indrummen van de tracks? geen probleem, even de functie selecteren, wat kinderspel is, en gaan! Ableton bedienen en de volgende sequence starten? geen probleem, staat op default, dus direct door.
Ableton integratie is enorm uitgebreid. Volumes, sequences, tracks, EQ, de mogelijkheden zijn eindeloos lijkt het en verdiend wat tijd om dit allemaal uit vinden. gelukkig zijn er veel YT filmpjes en geeft Novation je al enorm veel tips. Het mooiste: ableton (10) herkend het bord direct, dus je hoeft niks in te stellen.
De aansluitingen zijn ook erg fijn: USB (al is de kabel wat kort voor mijn setup) werkt uitstekend, MIDI out is fijn wanneer je een geluidskaart hebt die dit ondersteund.
Als de pc op standby staat blijft de novation aan staan waardoor de pads blijven oplichten en kleuren wisselt. Niet perse prettig zo'n disco 's avonds. Gelukkig kan hij ook uit ;).
Firmware update naar 1.1 was zo gepiept en succesvol . Hierna raden ze aan om de arpeggiator opnieuw te kalibreren, dit heb ik niet kunnen afronden want ik kreeg een foutmelding na de tweede stap (arpeggiator omhoog en op + of - drukken).
Al met al een erg fijn bord met veel mogelijkheden en een kwalitatief ogende behuizing.

Hij wordt geleverd met een USB kabel en krijg op die manier ook zijn stroom. Er zit een old school MIDI Out op om de wat oudere apparatuur mee te bedienen.
De behuizing is van kunststof waardoor dit apparaat niet teveel weegt. Toch voelt hij stevig aan. De drumpads zijn fijn om te gebruiken. Ook de bediening is prima. Zeker een aanrader!
