The Korg taktile-49 can serve as a hub in any compact DAW setup. If you have a home or project studio, you can use the USB MIDI controller to operate your entire in-the-box music production process. In addition to an excellent semi-weighted 49-key keyboard, pitch bend and modulation wheels, an octave shift function and connectors for sustain and expression pedals, the taktile-49 offers advanced controls for triggering chords, manipulating sounds and making mixes in your DAW - it even allows you to move the cursor!

taktile-49: trigger pads

The sixteen pressure-sensitive, backlit trigger pads of the Korg taktile-49 can be used as drum pads - they're MIDI assigned for most common plug-ins. With the Chord Scale function, it's also possible to use them to dynamically generate chords in a pre-specified key and scale. In combination with the ribbon slider and Chord Variation function, you can determine the timbre of the chords, so creating complex patterns and arrangements on-the-fly is not just fun, but efficient as well.

X-Y touch pad

A prominent feature of the taktile-49 is its X/Y touch pad. Thanks to a Touch Scale function, you're able to use the pad to play complex melodies in a pre-specified key. This abstract way of playing produces fresh sounds and melodic variations, and works great with a sequencer. The touch pad can also be used as a track pad, in which case the ribbon slider replaces the buttons of your computer mouse. You won't have to take your hands off the taktile-49! The Korg USB MIDI controller is also equipped with an arpeggiator, 8 faders (for mixing purposes), 8 assignable knobs and a set of practical transport buttons.
