General
Korg's taktile-25 gives you optimal control over your beats, samples, melodies and arrangements. This dynamic USB controller is USB-powered and quite compact, but remarkably comprehensive nonetheless. Its keyboard consists of 25 semi-weighted, velocity-sensitive keys that enable you to express your musical ideas freely. Pitch bend and modulation wheels and octave shift buttons provide additional options, and sustain and expression pedal connectors open up even more creative possibilities.
Korg taktile-25: X/Y Touch Pad
Centrally located, you'll find an X/Y touch pad that allows you to create musical phrases, regardless of the plug-in you're using. Touch Scale - a feature borrowed from the Kaossilator - enables you to generate melodies in a specific key and scale, simply by touching it. The pad can even be used as a track pad, in which case the ribbon selector replaces the mouse keys. You'll be able to ditch your computer mouse and still control all the functions of your DAW with the taktile-25. Just imagine what that will do for your workflow!
Drum Pads and Mixer
The Korg taktile-25 features 8 velocity-sensitive drum pads that are backlit to show their status, and can be used to generate chords in the Chord Scale mode - a particularly powerful feature for various (pattern-based) DAWs. Of course you can also use the pads to trigger drum sounds. In that case, the optimal MIDI configuration will be selected, so you can easily access your bass, snare and hi-hats in any plug-in. Last but not least, the taktile-25 is equipped with eight faders that enable you to control a DAW mixer in Control Mode, and with various transport buttons for full control over your DAW sessions.
