General
The Behringer MOTOR 49 is an advanced USB/MIDI controller equipped with 49 keys, 8 illuminated drum pads and 9 motorized faders. Complemented by a large LCD display and various rotary dials, the MOTOR 49 will quickly become the heart of your digital studio. Thanks to built-in presets, you don't need to spend hours on mapping, you can get straight to work with accessible DAWs. Extra mapping presets for specific soft and hardware allocations can be downloaded.
Behringer MOTOR 49 motorized faders
We don't see motorized faders on a MIDI keyboard very often. The 90 faders have a 60mm throw and help with controlling the DAW mixer, drawbar organs, soft synths and effects devices. Furthermore, the hands-on approach makes these tasks not only faster, but smoother. The keyboard features 49 semi-weighted keys that are velocity-sensitive and equipped with aftertouch. You can expect to be able to play with outstanding expression worthy of the most serious virtual instruments. Additionally, a built-in hardware-based arpeggiator offers complex patterns that are different from the software you're using now.
Endless rotary encoders
Endless rotary encoders are by far the most precise rotary knobs, and these ones are equipped with dynamic LED rings so you get instantaneous visual indication of a parameter's status. You can use banks to quickly switch between settings for faders, encoders and pads. MIDI connections are available in both USB and 5-pin DIN forms, including in, out and thru connectors. It comes with free audio and podcasting software, plus 150 instrument and effect plugins which can be downloaded from Behringer's website.
