The Soundcraft Dante is an expansion card for SI-Series consoles and adds another 64 inputs and 64 outputs, each in the digital Dante format so you can be assured of Dante protocol on every connection to your mixer via a simple, inexpensive network cable. The digital audio network supports standard internet protocols so they can communicate with one another over an existing network with routers and hubs. By installing the optional Audinate Dante Virtual Soundcard software, it's also possible to connect your SI-mixer to your PC or Mac.

Installation and Integration with your DAW

Installing the Soundcraft Dante expansion card is fairly simple. Make sure your mixer has the latest firmware, insert the card into the expansion slot on the back, screw it in securely and you'll be operational immediately. Using the extra Audinate Dante Virtual Soundcard software (not included), the card can be integrated with your DAW, making it possible to play and record 64 tracks simultaneously via your DAW. After installation, connect your SI mixer to the Ethernet port of your computer and you're ready to go.
