General

The Midas DL251 is a 19-inch 5U digital I/O box with 48 analogue inputs equipped with legendary Midas preamps, 8 outputs and 2 AES50 transfer ports. You can connect up to 48 analogue audio sources to this stage box and send that signal through to a digital mixer via Ethernet. This device is fitted with three AES50 connectors, each of which has 24 sends and 24 returns. For all this, you only need a total of three cables! The DL251 has a remote Ethernet connection located on the rear so you can utilise its outstanding mic preamps at a distance via a digital mixing console or computer. Should this DL251 digital snake be used together with the DL252 (a mirrored version with 48 outputs and 16 inputs), the whole thing can function as a stand-alone snake to bridge a gap of up to 100 metres with a couple of CAT5 cables.
