General
The Radial LX8J line-level splitter has eight inputs channels and can be set up to send multiple channels to three destinations. This passive splitter operates without the need for an external power supply, and since each of the outputs has been fitted with a Jenson transformer, +26dB signals can be processed distortion and noise free. Each of the transformers has also been fitted with an internal switch that's defaulted to 'lifted' so that the chassis can float ungrounded. The neat plug-and-play LX8J splitter comes in a 1U-high and rack-ready 19 inch housing.
Connectivity & Flexibility
The Radial LX8J has been kitted out with three parallel inputs with female XLR ports lined up along the front panel and 25-pin D-SUB ports and Euroblock terminals on the rear. A direct output has also been fitted around the back, alongside auxiliary outputs and isolated outputs that put the Jensen transformers to use. The input you choose depends on what you want to connect up and how you're going to use it, so it's usually best to hook single bits of equipment up to the XLR inputs, while for a stage-snake, you'll probably want to use the DB-25 input. Perfect for live rigs or any fixed installations where various line-signals need to be sent to multiple systems at the same time, the Radial LX8J is a solid purpose-built solution.
