To meet the demands of today's drummers, most drum gear is only getting bigger, heavier and robuster. While this obviously comes with two fists full of benefits, it does mean that heavy toms and snares can sometimes be a little difficult to position perfectly. To solve this problem once and for all, DW Drums have designed the patented Air Lift system.

At first sight, this looks like any regular heavy-duty snare drum stand: double-braced legs, durable chrome-plated tubes and an easy-to-adjust basket. So far, so good, but things take a different turn when it comes to snare height adjustments. Normal stands require quite a bit of effort to raise your snare, while the Air Lift system of the DW 9300AL almost makes it look like an automatic process and consists of a pneumatic shock-mount that basically keeps your snare drum floating on air. Using just two fingers, you can raise or lower the snare without having to find a wing nut first and, if you happen to use a double kick drum pedal, you might be glad to know you can even move the basket away from the base of the stand as needed.
