The flagship of audio editing software, Steinberg's WaveLab Pro, is now available in version 9, which is teeming with new features and improvements. For starters, the user interface has been completely rebuilt and is now comprised of a single window with docking options for maintaining a clear overview. It also features 12 slots for loading your plugins, extremely flexible channel editing options, new monitoring tools, and M/S (Mid/Side) support. At the same time, you'll see improvements in naming conventions and in managing your projects as well as the development and workflow between them.

Steinberg's Senior Marketing Manager calls WaveLab Pro 9 the most important software update in the last two decades of product development. This enhanced version sets a completely new standard in the world of audio editing software, particularly with respect to the user interface, which allows you to see everything you're working on at a single glance. You have a single window at your disposal which contains a number of tabs which you can either hide or reveal with an ingenious window-docking function. Steinberg also clearly invested in improving the quality of some mastering plugins. What's more, this updated WaveLab Pro 9 also supports a sample rate of 384 kHz!

Seamless integration and project exchange

Another big advantage of WaveLab Pro 9 is the further development of the WaveLab Exchange function for easily alternating between projects. If you're already using Cubase or Nuendo, now you can set your own mixing preferences and mastering workflows by creating a direct connection between programs. You'll also find an improvement in the project management features and the available name conventions.
