Korg Kronos 88: a sea of sounds
The Kronos 88 has a sound for virtually every style and every situation. In order to make these sounds as good as possible, Korg paid special attention to the development of the unit that's responsible for the PCM samples, the HD-1 PCM engine. It processes at such a high level of quality, you won't have any problems with irritating aliasing effects. You can also assign certain filters to your own samples. The acoustic piano sounds are produced by the SGX-2 engine, which is capable of recreating the finest details of a grand piano’s sound, and they’re adjustable as well. You can influence the reverberation of a single note, or the behaviour of a foot pedal. There are also separate engines for electric pianos and tone wheel organ sounds. You'll find a wide palette of sounds and synths in the integrated 'Legacy Analog' range.
Perfect for studio and stage
Korg has always been a front-runner in the world of workstations thanks to their well-known Karma technology, which has been made even better over the years. It ensures tight drum rhythms, key phrases, and backing tracks. You can create your own samples using the Open Sampling System, which you can load in from your computer. The Kronos works perfectly with commonly-used DAWs but is also equipped with an internal sequencer for 16 MIDI tracks and 16 audio tracks. Last but not least, you can assign up to twelve FX engines to your sounds, configure two as send/return, and use another two as master effects meaning you can use a total of 16 simultaneously.
