Beneath its stylish exterior, this platinum powerhouse is exactly the same as the original Kronos 88, which means it has the same weighted keys, nine sound engines and 21 GB worth of waveforms. An additional 62 GB of memory is available for your own sounds, so basically you're getting yourself a machine with unlimited options that can sound like any synthesizer you want. Despite its outstanding versatility, however, the Kronos-88 Platinum is easy to control thanks to the inclusion of an attractive colour touch screen.

Korg Kronos 88 Platinum: loads of sounds

From pianos to horns, from strings to drums and from guitars to synthetic tones, this Korg can produce sounds that will blow your mind, courtesy of nine engines. Each engine specialises in a specific sound (family), offering all the unique parameters you need. If you think about it, that makes sense. After all, piano string resonance isn't required to adjust your tone wheel organs.

Perfect for studio and stage

With their renowned Karma technology, Korg was always at the forefront of workstation development. This platinum Korg Kronos 88 features an improved version of this technology, ensuring tight drum patterns, key phrases and backing tracks. It's even possible to create your own samples using the Open Sampling System, or to import them from your computer. The Kronos is perfectly compatible with most popular DAWs, but features an internal sequencer for 16 MIDI tracks and 16 audio tracks as well. Finally, no fewer than twelve FX engines can be applied to your sounds, two additional FX engines can be configured as send/return, and two more FX engines can be used as master effects. That means you have a total of 16 simultaneous effects at your disposal!
