Zo, dat is wel even wennen. Ideaal om thuis toch te kunnen drummen zonder geluidsoverlast.
In combinatie met de Fazley Mute bekkens een verademing.
Nadeel is dat je de rest van de ketels eigenlijk ook moet voorzien van Silentstroke vellen anders is het volume uit balans ;)

Ideaal om akoestisch te kunnen spelen zonder dat je buren (of vrouw) er last van heeft!

Ik heb deze drumvellen nu meerdere maanden gebruikt, en ze werken echt super. Aangezien mijn drumstel op zolder staat hoor je het lawaai door het hele huis, maar met deze vellen totaal niet meer. Kwaliteit is ook super, en ze gaan nu al een hele tijd mee. Enige minpuntje is dat de rebound iets anders is, maar dat is logisch omdat het een andere stof is.

Waow, I am amazed (‘blown away’ - if you’ve heard the expression) by by how well these heads perform. I almost cannot believe how much controlled tone I am getting at such low volumes (paired with standard resonant heads). The stick feel is not identical, but it’s very close - there wasn’t much if any of the dreaded ‘bounce’ that sponsored reviewers often mention. I laid into the heads hard, as is my playing style (although hesitantly at first) and they are definitely more durable they appear or feel. Perhaps like most of you, I wanted to be able to practice my full acoustic kit indoors. I live mid way in a row of attached town houses with minimal wall insulation. I didn’t want to drive my neighbour crazy (I imagined pictures falling off picture hooks), and my electronic kit just doesn’t excite me. So far I’ve only tried these on toms, if durability bottoms out on the snare or kick I’ll slap a falam slam or clear dot on for good measure. I mentioned the amazing tone - I tuned the wrinkles out of my tom resonant heads (remo ambassador) and tweaked them up fractionally, until I could begin to hear the thump sound disappear and the sweet tone just coming through. For the mesh I did much the same, tweaking them up only a fraction until they gave a little rebound and they made the reso heads sing a little. Tuning took a little longer on the 13” than the 10”, but I thing the 13” reso head might be getting old. I evened everything out and then ..... waow. I watched almost every review and although remo silentstroke rated ok, they weren’t always a clear winner. Despite that I liked what I was hearing and gave them a go. I have pretty much always played remo heads, not that they are superior to the others, I just like the consistency and the stick attack they give. Perhaps that familiarity swayed me to buy the Silentstrokes, but having played them I can say these sound awesome, and I’m ‘sticking’ with them. I would 100% recommend these especially paired with ambassadors.

Top product. Rebound is niet vergelijkbaar met gewone acoustische vellen, maar wel ideaal om in stilte te kunnen spelen. Ook zeker een aanrader in combinatie met triggers om aan te sluiten op een drummodule. Signalen komen mooi door! Zeer tevreden!

Drumstel op je slaapkamer = gezeik van de buren. Ik heb dit vel gekocht samen met twee tomvellen en een floortomvel en ook nog een bassdrumvel, had ik jaren geleden al moeten doen want het geluid is met zeker 80% gereduceerd, ik blij, de buren blij en ik kan tot laat nog oefenen.

De spelwijze veranderd nauwelijks, de 'bounce' van je stokken is super, al met al een aanrader voor de fanatieke drummer, niet alleen als je AC/DC speelt maar ook de drummers die zich bezighouden met hypersnelle dubbel bass thrash, death, black of grindcore kunnen vol gas geven met deze vellen. Top!

Ik speel al een aantal jaar op een E drum, dus uiteraard nooit problemen met de buren, maar sinds een paar maand heb ik nu ook een akoestische kit, en dan ligt het toch even anders...
dus een set zildjian low volume cymbals aangeschaft (toppie) en zolang ik thuis oefen, de vellen verwisseld met "silentstoke" op snare en toms !!! grandioos !!! ik heb met een decibelmeter het verschil nagekeken tussen mijn E drum, en mijn akoestische kit... en er is geen verschil !!! ik dus tevreden (en de buren ook)
