The Flex edition of the Meinl Multi-Rods can be adapted to take on an array of styles and techniques. These rods bundle up nineteen bamboo dowels that have been left unwrapped to keep them ultra-flexible, influencing the playing feel and response as well as the sound. Adjust the rubber O-ring to widen the spread and these rods have a similar feel to brushes, but then with a bigger, clearer attack. Narrow the spread for a more stick-like sound, just at a lower volume.
