General

The digital output has also been improved, which makes the CDJ 2000 Nexus 2 ideal for use in the studio. Instead of three hot cues, you've got two banks of four a for a total of eight hot cues at your disposal. Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus 2: colour touch screen
The successor to the first Nexus is equipped with a 7-inch colour touch screen for even more intuitive control that shows you exactly what you need to know. The screen has a Track Filter mode, which enables you to find the right tracks using search filters from Rekordbox. Find your tracks based on BPM, key, or your own personalised tags (My Tags). You can also turn the screen into a full Qwerty keyboard and simply search for the desired track by name. The screen shows multi-coloured waveforms of your tracks, but now also allows you to zoom in. With Needle Countdown, you can select a specific point in a track and the screen will show you exactly how many beats it is till that position.
NSX2: versatile enhancements
At first glance, the NXS2 doesn't look much different than the previous version, but the biggest changes are under the bonnet. The audio interface has gone from 48 to 96 kHz and it is compatible with FLAV and ALAC for professional quality audio. The digital output has also been improved, resulting in an improved overall sound on stage and in the studio. Other changes to the exterior include the removal of the Needle Search strip, which has now been integrated into the touch screen. This second-generation Nexus is capable of quantising at 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 beat for even greater precision.
Extensive Rekordbox track information and Pro DJ Link
Analysing music via Rekordbox is nothing new. This player has access to all the information you need including BPM, Beat Countdown and Phase Meter. The NXS2 features Memory Cues, which make it possible to give cues a name and/or colour and see this information on the Nexus 2 screen. Pro DJ Link makes it possible to use one library for a maximum of four players so you can use Beat Sync and Beat Countdown. The Phase Meter is more detailed than ever and enables you to follow the track by tempo, on the beat and between the beats. The Beat Grid is accurate to the millisecond and loops synchronised with Rekordbox's Beat Grid so your mix is 100% reliable. Finally, Quantized Beat Jump has been added to Pro DJ Link, which enables you to jump one beat back or ahead from your current position.
