The Omnitronic RLD 8 is an IEC extension socket with 8 plugs. You can, for instance, mount this socket into your 19 inch amplifier rack. With the built-in LED lights you can check the settings and see if the mains voltage is stable and sufficient. You can switch the lights on and off or dim them. Because these lights are so-called 'pop-up lights', you can press them into the casing during transport. The rack is then able to fit a flightcase. The 8 IEC plugs at the back are regular 230 V outputs with the same connectors as the connectors on computers, amplifiers, studio monitors, DJ mixers etcetera. With the built-in circuit breaker you can easily switch your devices back on after a power breakdown. This switch is placed at the front and is illuminated.

Helaas heeft de stroomverdeler wel wat beperkingen. Er is geen ontstoring op de schakelaar aanwezig waardoor inschakelen af en toe een lelijke spike op de voedingsspanning naar alle apparaten geeft. De LEDs van de spanningsindicator zijn exceptioneel fel wat soms hinderlijk is als je bij de andere apparatuur in het rack wat moet instellen.
Na een paar maanden ineens bij het inschakelen heeft de spanningsindicator het begeven. Er branden nu altijd 5 van de groene LEDs en meer niet. Waarschijnlijk is de elektronica de dupe geworden van een slechte ontstoring...

Gewoon niets mis mee, uitpakken, monteren, aansluiten en klaar.
Geen problemen mee gehad, zowel thuis als on the road.
Robuust, de lichten geven een felle schijn af waardoor je hele case verlicht is.

Nadat we terug de stroom ingschakelden, werkte het led-display niet meer van deze unit.
Toeval of niet, maar het zal je maar gebeuren wanneer je ergens aan het optreden bent.
De support van Bax-shop heeft naar goede gewoonte dit apparaat opnieuw teruggenomen, waarvoor dank.
