Even if you use rack equipment you can now experience the multifunctional, high-end sounds of the ENGL E670 Special Edition Head. This ENGL E570 Special Edition Preamp is the preamp section of the top, reshaped to fit a 19-inch rack. Powered by four 12AX7 tubes over four channels, with this beast on your side, you have the potential to create a wide range of classic and comtemporary guitar sounds, from crystal clear cleans to hi-gain metal and everything in between. In addition, the E570 is equipped with versatile extra options to colour the sound to taste. All switchable functions can be controlled via MIDI and stored in any combination for maximum flexibility.
ENGL E570 Special Edition Preamp: Multi-Dimensional and User-Friendly
The ENGL E570 is easy and intuitive to use. You have a Clean, Crunch, Lead 1 and Lead 2 channel to play with, each with a dedicated Gain, Treble and Volume control. The arrangement for Bass and Middle are shared for Clean and Crunch, as are the two Lead channels. You can adjust these four basic sounds to your heart's content with additional functions such as Gain Boost and Hi Gain for more oversteering; Normal and Ultra Bright for extra sparkle and Contour and Mid Boost to accentuate or scoop the mid frequencies. Furthermore, the ENGL E570 Special Edition has Preamp buttons for functions such as Mega Lo Punch, Modern / Classic and the activation of the Noise Gate and FX-Loop.
Total connectivity and Extra Functies
Around the back of the ENGL E570 Special Edition Preamp you'll find a MIDI thru and MIDI-in (with phantom power for ENGL MIDI pedals), ENGL's Serial Amp Control (SAC) port for an optional Z-9 footswitch and Mute Depth and Treshold arrangements for the Noise Gate. An FX loop with stereo returns and two outputs with a -20/0 dB switch for stereo power amplifiers. For recording or sending directly to a mixer or PA, there's a stereo line output with volume control via two XLR connections and a 6.35 mm stereo jack. In short, everything you could wish for as a professional guitarist.
