This 21-inch ride cymbal comes from Meinl's Byzance series, which consists purely of cymbals that are hammered and finished by hand, ensuring that each one has a unique sound and its own character. A special feature of this Mike Johnston signature ride cymbal is the untreated finish, that clearly shows off the hammer marks.
Meinl Byzance B21TSR 21-inch Transition Ride: versatility
Meinl's B20 bronze alloy (80% copper, 20% tin) and the raw, unlathed finish give this ride a highly versatile sound. This 21-inch model allows for the perfect balance between subtle ride patterns and analmost crash-like wash. It offers short sustain, and a well-defined ping and bell.
