Medium thin crashes are the most versatile cymbals in this series because they have a wide volume range, a long sustain, and a predominantly high pitch. Because it emphasises mid and high frequencies in particular, this cymbal is able to stand its ground, even in the loudest circumstances. Zildjian S Family cymbals are made of B12 alloy, which consists of 88% copper and 12% tin. In order to achieve a modern sound from an age-old material, developers in the Zildjian sound lab experimented with different techniques over the course of two whole years!
