A rack system is the ideal solution for drummers who are always on the road. A rack saves both space and time when setting up, and it's easier to take along with you than loose stands are. Furthermore, it offers you more flexibility where your set-up is concerned. Tama has this PMD900A, which is a 90cm long expansion to the Tama PMD1100M Power Tower drum rack system. This expansion gives you more room for an additional floor tom, for instance, or it will allow you to accommodate the use of two bass drums. The Tama PMD900A is suited for use on both your right and your left side.

Tama PMD900A: included parts

The Tama PMD900A is the shorter version of the PMD1100A, and therefore consists of the same parts. It has an 85cm vertical pipe with a mount for a 19.1mm cymbal holder on the end, and a slightly curved 90cm horizontal pipe, complete with a multifunctional clamp to attach a floor tom with, for instance. Both width and height are adjustable. The PMD900A comes with a cross-joint bracket to attach it to the PMD1100M drum rack with.

Practical extra's

To help you find your perfect set-up time and again, this rack system comes with memory clamps and a sheet of stickers with letters and numbers, to help you remember which part goes where. Furthermore, the vertical pipe has horizontal marks on it, spaced 50 mm apart, so that you can mount the horizontal bar at the perfect height every time. That horizontal bar also has an indicator line on the front that you can align with the arrow on the cross-joint brackets, so you can be sure that the pipe is properly positioned.
