Dexibell is a modern, Italian company that combines high-quality piano sounds with modern design. Their philosophy is that because a digital piano isn't the same as an acoustic one, it shouldn't look like one. That's definitely the case with the VIVO Home H1, which has a stylish, minimal black frame with white accents. Under the bonnet, this piano s equipped with modern technology such as USB ports for connecting to your computer or tablet. It also features an 88-note Hammer Action keyboard, the traditional three pedals and excellent samples of two pianos, among others.
Features and possibilities
The Home H1 consists of more than 80 sounds, including two acoustic grand pianos, as well as electric pianos, organs, string and wind instruments. You can expand on this amount by downloading more samples from the Dexibell website. Combine these sounds or adjust them using any of the 24 types of reverb or numerous DSP effects. The piano has an outstanding speaker system but you can also connect a set of external speakers if you prefer. If you want to practice in silence, there are two headphone sockets available. You can also connect your tablet or smartphone and play along with your favourite music, as the piano recognises various file formats including WAV, aiff, and MP3. You can also record your sessions directly onto a USB stick.
True 2 Life technology
Dexibell have developed their own special technology to sample sounds in ultra-high quality called True 2 Life (T2L). It sounds complicated but it's comparable to the difference between HD video and an analogue signal. Each Dexibell piano has its own Quad Core processor for an almost infinite polyphony. This means it can recreate the sound of an acoustic piano or an organ in great detail. Another component of the T2L principle is the extra-long sample length as opposed to the competition. Dexibell samples are 3 to 15 times longer and up to 15 seconds longer for the low notes. This means no loops when holding a note for a long time.
