Most pianists grow and learn their craft with a humble upright piano rather than a grand, and there's a couple of very good reasons for this. Upright pianos are cheap, while grand pianos can be near-priceless. Grand pianos also eat up a considerable amount of space, so unless you happen to live in a castle, an upright piano is simply the logical choice. Luckily, digital pianos, and even digital grand pianos are a touch more affordable and often a little more compact than acoustic grands, and while they're not necessarily cheap, they are a more attainable option for pianists that dream of sitting at a grand piano in the comfort of their own living room. At the more affordable end of the digital grand piano spectrum, the Artesia Pro AG-30 is a size down from the AG-50, taking it further away from the size of a full-sized acoustic grand, to that of a more space-saving baby-grand.

Since it is digital, the AG-30 also offers the immense array of options that only digital pianos make possible. The internal memory holds a library of over 130 different sounds, which doesn't just cover pianos, but strings, guitars, synthesizers, and plenty more. A bank of rhythms in various styles is also provided for accompanying songs and to help with timing, while a list of on-board songs can be used to help students train their right hand. This piano even supports MIDI via USB as well as DIN ports: a feature that transforms the AG-30 into a luxurious MIDI-keyboard that can be linked to external gear like sound modules or a laptop and used to control an even greater array of sounds. This digital piano is also a comprehensive teaching tool, where features like duet mode splits the keyboard in two, enabling the teacher to play alongside their student in the same key. In short, while this model bears all the looks of an acoustic baby-grand, it offers a mass of ultra-modern options. It even comes complete with a piano bench.

Artesia Pro AG-30 Digital Piano

Ik was al een tijdje opzoek naar een baby vleugel maar de prijzen waren hoger dan mijn budget. Ik heb toen gekozen voor deze digitale vleugel en geen seconde spijt gehad. De aanslaggevoeligheid voelt voor mij perfect en ik speel met heel veel plezier. Er zitten oneindig veel features op maar ik gebruik hem gewoon als vleugel. Wellicht ooit in de toekomst.
Het is daarnaast ook een mooi meubelstuk in mijn woonkamer. Het ziet er zeer degelijk uit, als een echte vleugel. Maar dan met een perfecte afmeting die past in iedere huiskamer.
Ten tijde van bestellen was er een B-stock model beschikbaar en die heb ik gekocht. De ‘mankementen’ waren duidelijk beschreven en waren voor mij geen enkel probleem (product zat bijvoorbeeld niet in de originele verpakking). En ook op de B-stock producten zit 30 dagen proef dus ik liep geen enkel risico.
Ik ben erg blij met de Artesia Pro AG-30 digitale piano en raad deze van harte aan.
