Xotic Robotalk 2
An envelope filter is a highly versatile effect. Just by changing the settings, the same pedal can give you the sound of a funky auto wah or heavy modulation, for instance. The main problem with these types of envelope filters is that it's not that easy to change settings while you're playing live. With Xotic's Robotalk 2 however, you'll no longer have this problem as it gives you two identical, independent channels to play with!
Robotalk 2: double the funk!
It's quite common for the controls on different makes and models of envelope filters to have different names, even though they have similar functionality. On the Robotalk 2, you'll find controls for sensitivity, decay, volume and resonance. Naturally, you'll find these controls on both channels. That means you can set up a light auto wah on channel 1, for instance, and have a heavy phase sound ready on channel 2. You can even blend the sounds from both channels together for something truly unique.
Robotalk 2: versatile
The Robotalk 2 is equipped with one internal 2-pole dip switch for different input signals (low/medium, active/passive) so that you can get the best possible sound with minimum distortion depending on the type of pickup your instrument has. There's also a 4-pole internal dip switch for adjusting the envelope frequencies on both channels depending on whether you're using a guitar or bass. Needless to say, the Robotalk 2 is a highly-versatile envelope effects pedal.
