Información del producto

General

The Source Audio SA224 Soundblox 2 Stingray Multi-Filter stompbox bulges with the sheer weight of its sonic potential. Loaded with twelve different filters, built-in overdrive, and four different filter modulation settings, this pedal has been purpose-made for any experimental, weird noise devotee. You don't just get to select a filter type, but you get to select the modulation type, so you can stuff the signal through an envelope filter, LFO, mess around with it using an Expresson Pedal, or even a Hot Hand. This stompbox is a pedalboard friendly gateway to synth-style tone: for a traditional filter-sound, go for the envelope filter, for some more wild synth-based psychedelics, go for LFO mode. In Expression Pedal or Hot Hand mode, the sound can be directly influenced in real-time. In fact, every parameter offered by the Soundblox 2 Stingray Multi-Filter can be manipulated with the Source Audio Hot Hand (not included) for an insanely unique result.

The Soundblox 2 Stingray Multi-Filter

While crammed with options, the control panel of the Stingray is actually easy to navigate. The large, centre-mounted pot is your filter-selector and provides the pick of 12 different filters divided over Low Pass, Single Peak, Multi Peak, High Pass, and Phaser banks. The Depth pot literally controls the depth and direction, while the Speed pot controls the pace of the filter or LFO. With the Option pot, various parameters can be set, and it's this that inflates the mass of potential this pedal is serving up. Two of your carefully sculpted sounds can be saved to the provided memory banks to be called up later by either of the fitted footswitches, and since this stompbox uses Active Analog Bypass, your signal remains pure and clean whenever the effect is switched off. Source Audio have even included a 9V power supply.

Source Audio

In 2005, Source Audio was set up by a solid team of engineers, scientists and former boffins of Analog Devices, Kurzwell Music Systems and Thomas H. Lee Partners. Backed up by more than 80 years of experience combined, the Source Audio project began. Since this company has just as much experience making analogue circuits as it does digital ones, this can be heard in every one of their pedals, each of which can be controlled via the unique Hot hand 3 Universal Wireless Effects Controller. The Hot Hand is a ring - as in, a ring that's placed on your finger - that functions as an expression pedal. This means that parameters like filter sweep, wet/dry mix or the gain of a distortion pedal can be adjusted by something as simple as a graceful hand gesture.
