With the Fender EXP-2 Expression Pedal, you literally keep one foot on the controls whilst playing. This black expression pedal gives you real-time control over the parameters of compatible amplifiers and effects. It’s an ideal complement to the Fender Tone Master Pro, but is also designed for other Fender products and compatible equipment from other brands. You can adapt the pedal to your kit using internal compatibility switches. The EXP-2 features separate outputs for expression and the built-in footswitch. This allows you to use a single pedal to both smoothly control a parameter and switch an effect on or off, without needing a separate footswitch.

Smooth control and instant switching

The 10 kilo-ohm linear expression output allows you to sweep through the range of an assigned parameter simply by moving the pedal. Which amplifier or effects parameter you control depends on the connected device. There is also a locking footswitch beneath the toe section, which you can use to switch effects or parameters on and off. This switch has its own output, so you can connect both control functions separately. For the expression output, use a 6.35 mm TRS cable; for the switch output, a 6.35 mm TS cable is required. Which functions you can control with these depends on the capabilities and connections of your compatible equipment.

Robust construction, adjustable feel

An expression pedal must not only be compatible with your equipment, but also feel comfortable under your foot. That’s why the Fender EXP-2 allows you to adjust the pedal’s resistance. This lets you choose how smooth or firm the movement feels whilst controlling your sound. The robust housing is made of aluminium and features an all-metal construction. Thanks to its compact, streamlined design with straight edges, the pedal fits neatly onto a pedalboard. Another practical feature: the EXP-2 is passive and therefore doesn’t require its own power supply. This leaves a power socket free for another pedal on your board.
