The VOX Tone Garage Straight 6 Drive offers you that characteristic British overdrive sound in a compact pedal. What makes this effect pedal really special is that a 12AX7 tube preamp has been integrated in the discrete analogue circuit. Thanks to VOX's Hi-Volt technology, the tube has an operating voltage of no less than 200 V, and it can work on batteries or with an adapter. The result is that the Straight 6 Drive not only sounds especially warm, but also incredibly dynamic!

The VOX Straight 6 Drive offers you a broad dynamic range of overdriven sounds with a British flavour. Furthermore, this pedal is equipped with four rotary knobs which include volume, bass, tone and gain controls - the last of which is great for going from subtle to screaming. You'll also find a bright switch on the Straight 6 Drive, which produces that characteristic VOX sparkle that'll make even guitars with humbuckers can sound bright and defined.

True bypass pedal with versatile gain

An interesting feature of the gain control is that it not only affects the intensity, but it's also designed to subtly change the timbre. From zero to maximum, this knob delivers a wide scale of natural overdrive sounds. Furthermore, the Straight V6 Drive is a true-bypass pedal, which means that your guitar's original sound is completely unaffected when the pedal is off. Finally, the pedal can be powered by six AA batteries (for use to 7 hours) or via an optional DC 9V adapter.
