TC Electronic's Grand Magus Distortion is an affordable effects pedal that's made to rock n' roll. It offers tube-like distortion with a rich tonal character and has a huge range of gain that goes from subtle to super saturation. Everything is easily controlled with the three knobs for gain, volume and tone. The pedal is true bypass which means it won't affect your sound at all when it's not activated.

Mijn oude Rat 2 pedaal was helaas overleden, en ik zocht een budgetvriendelijke vervanger.
Hoewel de nieuwe Magus Pro meer opties biedt, deed dit pedaal als B-stock zich voor als een goeie kanshebber, immers, extra opties zijn leuk, maar eenvoud is ook een deugd.

Hij stelt niet teleur. Klinkt als een oude Rat 2, echter, zonder het kenmerkende filter, maar met een ouderwetse tone knop.
Maargoed, dat verschil hoor je er niet aan af.
Puik pedaaltje, gebouwd als een tank.

TC Electronic Grand Magus Distortion pedal

Voor het geld een heel leuk pedaal. Fijne schakelaar waarvoor je weinig kracht hoeft te gebruiken, maar geeft geen feedback. Mooie distortion met brede mogelijkheden om deze naar je wens af te stemmen. Goed voor rock, maar geen high-gain om metal mee te spelen.

Ik gebruik 'm i.c.m. losse voeding, kan e.v.t. ook op een 9V blokje maar dan moet je het pedaal even open schroeven.
