The JHS Double Barrel V4 is a self-professed shotgun of a stompbox pre-loaded with two overdrive circuits that can be used independently or combined to unleash a merciless array of sonic saturation. Bam! Split down the middle, the fourth and most up-to-date version of the Morning Glory circuit takes up the left side and lays down a light overdrive that drips with tangible character, and, since this pedal is compatible with the Red Remote external switch (not included), a second level of gain can be added. Over on the right side of the Double Barrel, the Moonshine V2 circuit provides a thicker, more solid drive. Combine both sides and brace yourself for a fat kick of full-on overdrive.

Heerlijk pedaal. Met name om wat ruimte te besparen deze vervangen met wat andere pedals. Wilde wel graag goed geluid. Ruimte besparen.... ach valt mee maar de sound is heel goed.Het is wel even zoeken wat betreft afstemming als ik ze stack, helemaal in combinatie met een boost. Maar geen spijt van de aankoop.

Ik heb veel overdrives getest maar kreeg nooit 100% mijn zin. Deze pedaal is anders. De double barrel klinkt geweldig en is enorm veelzijdig in te zetten. Ik was eerst van plan enkel de morning glory te kopen maar ben blij dat ik toch de double barrel heb genomen. Dit is volgens mij de laatste overdrive die ik koop

Ok. So Ive spent a fair chunk of time with the JHS Double Barrel V4 over the past few days, and I remain absolutely blown away.
This pedal is one of the very few that gives me goosebumps. Paired with a latching remote (JHS sell their Red Remote, but they also encourage you to build your own, which is what I did), there is a ton of flexibility easily on tap - 5 different levels of gain at your feet.
I recently sold an Analogman KOT that Id owned for a while, regretted it, and placed an order for a new one.
Then I got this.
To my ears, the Double Barrel v4 sounds better than the KOT by a long way, so much so that Ill be cancelling the KOT order. The DB does everything I want it to do and more.
Tip. If you dont already use your guitars volume pot/s, you should with the DBv4. Doing so makes it a game-changing pedal.

This is a stunning pedal. Simple to use and easy to coax some great sounds out of. Expensive? Yes. No doubt about it, but worth every penny.
